Authority
One of the things that we learned teat interested me reading Romans was the passage on authority. Most people are told that rules are there to protect them from harm, and this is Gods intention to keep us away from sin and destruction.Yet for some reason when we look at someone else's sinful actions we don;t look away or try to help them, but we are tempted to do the same and often stumble as well. If we were to see sin as disgusting as God sees it then even tough we would still sin because we re born into a sinful and imperfect world, we wouldn't want to have anything to with sin. We unfortunately see it as tempting not only do we sin but we want to sin and this angers God. By submitting to God and his orders and by having belief that you can be saved through him allows the holy spirit to see sin as what it truly is and lessens the burden of temptation. My challenge is to follow God's commands and orders and turn to him when I am tempted to sin against him and I challenge you to do the same

This is an interesting take on Romans 13 (I assume that is the passage, you did not mention the scripture in your post). Usually, the application here is with government, but you have used it to discuss restraining evil in our personal lives.
