Romans

What we know as Romans in the bible is a collection of letters written by to the believers in Rome.Instructing them how to become  followers of Christ, with lesson such as the sovereignty and holiness of God.It talks about how God cannot be in the presence of sin therefore we have been separated. That until we for forgiveness of the him we face punishment for our sins.Roman's Road which is one of the most important passages to learn and understand. To briefly summarize the passage ; All have sinned and fallen and can't remain in god's presence;the price for our disobedience is death as our sin must be punished;but the gift of eternal life is ours if we confess with our words that God is our lord and believe he raised Jesus form the Dead than we can be saved and return to God. The hardest lesson would probably be this, as most of religions at the time had certain rituals, sacrifices and live certain ways to go to an eternal paradise or become holy. I don;t know if Christianity was the first religion to introduce asking or forgiveness, but the idea was relatively new and most likely the most idea confusing idea at the time.

  1. Thanks for your thoughts.

First, I want to clarify--Romans is not a collection of letters, but a single letter written by Paul to the Romans. It is the most systematic presentation of the gospel that Paul has written, though it is not exhaustive. It leaves out some important things that show up in other letters that Paul has written.

Interesting thoughts on forgiveness--I agree, accepting forgiveness can be very difficult. Mostly because it implies we should also be forgiving.
